CLEANSE
You need to find a good cleanser that your skin responds well to, and stick with it. Choose a creamy cleanser if you have dry skin or a clear cleanser if you have oily skin. (For soap options, please refer to our soap guide)
Make sure to remove eye makeup with a proper makeup remover. The area around the eye is delicate so don't pull or rub too hard.
In the morning, a splash of lukewarm water is all you need. It's great for removing excess oils from your nightly moisturizing. Never wash your face with hot or cold water (both can cause broken capillaries).

TONE
Toners are most helpful and necessary for people with oily or acne-prone skin, or for people who want extra cleansing after wearing makeup or other heavy skin products such as sun screen,
Not only that. Toners also help shrink large pores, gives your skin pH balance, adds a layer of protection and refreshes skin.

MOISTURIZE
So how much should you moisturize? Your skin will tell you. When your skin is tight, it's crying out for moisture. Be careful not to over-moisturize -- this can clog pores.
Some beauty experts strongly recommend eye creams. The skin around the eye contains no fatty tissue and is therefore very thin and susceptible to wrinkles. Special eye creams are formulated to "thicken" this area.

PROTECT
The #1 cause of wrinkles is sun damage, so it's important to use a sunscreen of at least SPF 15 from your early years on even in winter and on cloudy days. A great trick is to purchase two moisturizers: One for night and one for day that includes UV protection.
Don't use moisturizers with sunscreen at night, the ingredients are not meant to be used 27/7 and can aggravate skin.
SPF measures the UVB protection. It is the only standardized measure of a sunscreen’s ability to filter UV radiation.
Gel type (water base) are ideal for oily skin and cream types (oil base) are idea for normal/dry skin.

EXFOLIATE
As we age, cell turnover slows down and dead skin cells can give us a dull complexion. Exfoliating both the face and body weekly helps get rid of the dead top layers of skin. This allows moisturizers and serums to better penetrate the skin and helps your foundation glide on smoothly instead of sitting atop flaky skin.
Chances are if you don't exfoliate daily or weekly, your skin is covered in dead skin cells that are mucking up the surface of your skin and causing your skin to not only look dull, but older.

TREATMENT
Common skin problems include sensitive skin, acne, pigmentation / skin darkening and aging. There are pre-disposing factors to consider prior to giving medication. We recommend you see your dermatologists first.
